Brittany walked into the Cabaret Roller Rink with her head held high. Her blonde hair was tied back into a pony tail just like when she used to be a Cheerio. In her hands she carried her roller skates. They were purple skates she bought before her first practice for her roller skate dance team. She attempted to bedazzle her skates, but only got halfway through before she had to stop. Her hands hurt too much from the hot glue. She gave it to her little sister to finish. And it seems she did a tasteful job. She would probably even suggest to the other members of the team to bedazzle their skates. She was sure she could volunteer her sister for the job.
Brittany sat down on a bench and looked out at the rink. She didn't see anyone that looked like they were a part of her dance team. Everyone was just skating around in a circle. It was boring. She wondered what her teammates would look like. She hoped they would show up this rehearsal. She couldn't imagine why they didn't show up to any of the previous ones. But she had confidence that this time someone would show up if she waited long enough.
She decided to go for a lap around the rink while she waited and maybe practice some of the dancing she made up. She laced up her skates and headed to the rink. There were a lot of people falling down and hanging onto the sides. Brittany laughed. It wasn't that hard. All you have to do is stand up and move your feet. She couldn't understand why some people had so much trouble with skating. She started to move in the direction of the group for her warm-up lap. Brittany was extremely graceful out on the floor of the rink. She was an amazing dancer after all, so that helped. She noticed some people off to the side watching her. She decided to show off a little bit, and she did a jump. When they clapped, Brittany laughed. She was having fun now. What would make it better would be if the team would show up. But if they didn't, maybe she could do a one woman show. That might even attract more people to the show, if she was the only one in it. They would get quality.
In the middle of the rink was a karaoke machine. Now, that might be fun too. Maybe she could sing and skate/dance at the same time. That would be impressive. She was the star after all. She firmly believed that, ever since her Britney dream in the dentist office, that she should be the true star of glee club and get all the solos. Well, she didn't get all the solos, but at least Mr. Schue gave her some decent ones at times. Yes, she decided. She would attempt to sing and skate.

It was supposed to have been an amazing day. It was supposed to have been a day of laughing , skating, singing and having fun. But those plans had turned into something else. Blaine Anderson was supposed to be seeing his boyfriend today and hanging out at the Cabaret roller rink. Blaine had drove past it the other day when driving over to Kurt's house and just had to try it out. A roller rink where there was karaoke? How could that not be fun?
Everything had been going great. The two boys were going to meet at the roller rink and spend the day together. Blaine loved that it was summer and he didn't have to just see Kurt after school and on the weekends anymore. He was happy that Kurt was back at McKinley. New Directions were like Kurt's family just like the Warblers were like Blaine's. But, Blaine did miss getting coffee with him before school and seeing him in between classes and eating lunch with him everyday and seeing him at Warbler's rehearsal and studying with him and wow, he was pathetic. He just really missed Kurt okay?
Blaine had made it to the roller rink when he had gotten a text from Kurt saying that he couldn't make it. He had to help his dad at the shop. Apparently it was an emergency and he felt awful about it. Blaine told him that they would reschedule and he would see him later.
So now, Blaine was at the roller rink in Lima, 2 hours away from home with no boyfriend to hang out with. He sighed and decided he might as well skate for a little bit since he was already here. He walked into the rink and rented some skates before sitting down to lace them up. He wasn't the best at skating, but he did okay. Doing anything fancy was out of the question though. Blaine had never been the best dancer.
He checked his phone for any text messages, hoping to see one from Kurt, but that didn't happen. He supposed Kurt was busy helping his dad. Blaine was sure that Kurt would tell him all about it later. He sighed and watched the various skaters for a few moments. They were all having a good time with family and friends...maybe he should just go. How many people came to the skating rink by themselves anyways? Maybe he should just go catch a movie instead...
(OOC: Go Bekah! Brittany to the rescue! xD)

Brittany smiled as she skated around the rink again. Her hair was starting to come out of the pony tail a little bit, but it still looked amazing. As she traveled around, her eyes landed on Blaine Warbler. He looked like a miserable little puppy. Even though she preferred cats, she liked all animals. She decided that she would talk to him and find out what was wrong. Maybe she could help him, though she didn't know how.
When Brittany exited the rink she skated right up to Blaine. He looked even more pathetic up close. She couldn't imagine why. Well, it was up to her to help him feel better. Maybe he would even want to join her roller skating dance team! It was worth a shot. She wondered if Blaine could dance. Well, even if he couldn't, she could teach anyone. Brittany glanced down at the skates Blaine was wearing. Well, she would have to get him some different skates and get her sister to bedazzle them. That was for certain. She then suddenly had an idea. If Blaine joined, then Kurt was sure to join. And if Kurt joined, maybe some others from New Directions would follow. It was worth a shot.
She smiled as she looked back at Blaine's face. Once again it registered that Blaine looked miserable and pathetic. Oh right, she was supposed to make him feel better. But how to do that? Brittany wasn't sure. But everyone always seems to be happy around her. Sometimes they even inexplicable laugh at things she says when she wasn't even trying to be funny. That must mean that Brittany is naturally funny. That is what she thought anyway. So she decided she would use some of her natural comedy skills to get Blaine to smile. But first she had to get Blaine's attention.
She cleared her throat and smiled. "Blaine Warbler?"

Okay, now he was really being sad. He was now watching people skate around. He shouldn't be here right now, he was just making himself miss Kurt more. He sighed and wondered if Wes and David were doing anything today. Maybe he could hang out with them...
"Blaine Warbler?"
Blaine looked up at the nickname one Rachel Berry had given him at her house party a few months ago. He had kissed Rachel and gotten so drunk that he hadn't remembered falling asleep in Kurt's bed, which looking back at it now was just sad. Sure, they hadn't been together yet, but Blaine still wished he could remember more about it. Actually, that whole night had just been a big mess with him kissing Rachel and thinking he might be bi. Looking back on it now, he could really see how stupid he had been. But, all that was in the past now and yet the nickname still stuck.
It wasn't Rachel however who had called him. It was none other than Brittany, the blonde ex-cheerleader who with truly amazing dance skills. He hadn't gotten a chance to talk much to the girl, but he had heard plenty of stories about her from Kurt. "Hey Brittany," he said, smiling a little. "What are you doing here?" He sighed a bit after he asked the question. What else would she be doing here? She was obviously here to skate. But, considering some of the stories he had heard, there could be a completely different reason as to why she was here. But she did already have skates on, and they looked to be her own personal skates considering the way they were decorated. The sight of the skates made him smile a little more. Maybe today wouldn't be as bad as he thought it was going to be...

Brittany smiled when she saw Blaine smile. He was kind of cute. He wasn't Santana, but he was cute. It was too bad he was dating Kurt so that Brittany couldn't even do something similar to what Santana was doing with Karofsky. But then again, Blaine seemed to really make Kurt happy, and she liked seeing Kurt happy. He deserved it.
"Hey Brittany, What are you doing here?"
Brittany just laughed. She watched as he admired her skates. Her skates were awesome. "Blaine Warbler," she said, still chuckling. "We're at a roller rink." She shook her head and looked at him as if he had asked the silliest thing in the world. "So of course I'm here to meet my roller skating dance team." She smiled and said this as if everyone had a roller skating dance team.
"My team isn't here yet, but I'm sure they'll be here soon." Then she adds, almost like an afterthought, "I wonder what they look like."
Brittany tilted her head slightly to the left and thought. She hoped a really great dancer could join. She wanted someone of her caliber to challenge her. She looked back at Blaine. If she remembered correctly, he was an okay dancer. How was he at skating? Well, she would find out, she supposed.

"Blaine Warbler, We're at a roller rink. So of course I'm here to meet my roller skating dance team."
Blaine blinked at the girl. Roller skating dance team? Did those even exist? He had never heard of one before. Maybe it was a new thing that was recently catching on? "Roller skating dance team huh? I've never seen one of those before. You must be really dedicated if you're here before everyone else," he said, smiling a little more.
"My team isn't here yet, but I'm sure they'll be here soon. I wonder what they look like."
Wait. What? "You've never seen them before?" he asked with a laugh. "How are you going to know that they're on your team then?" They could be looking for her he supposed. Either way, talking to Brittany was making him feel a little better.

"You've never seen them before?"
Brittany smiled and shook her head. Of course she had never seen them before. This was going to be their first practice. Of course, last week was supposed to be their first practice. And the week before that, and the week before that. But she knew someone would show up sometime.
"How are you going to know that they're on your team then?"
Brittany considered this for a moment. It was a fair question. "Well I suppose I'll know them when I see them dancing. Then I'll know that they signed my list." So far she didn't know if anyone had signed up. But she had the list with her, so she could check it. She really did hope that someone showed up today. She really wanted to dance. As she looked at Blaine, an idea struck her. If no one on her team showed up today, she would dance with Blaine. Maybe he would like to join her team. He would be the second member. And she really only needed two. Brittany never like dancing alone. It was like dating yourself, and she wasn't really good at that.

"Well I suppose I'll know them when I see them dancing. Then I'll know that they signed my list."
Blaine nodded his head. That made sense. And plus, how many people were going to come to a roller rink to dance? He wondered how hard it was to dance on roller skates. He had never tried it, but it sounded like it would be pretty hard. But, if anyone would be able to dance on wheeled shoes, it would be Brittany. He had seen her dance with Mike Chang at Sectionals that past year and they had been incredible. They would definitely give David and Jeff a run for their money and they were the best dancers in the Warblers.
"So, how many people signed your list?" Brittany was one of the most popular girls in McKinley according to Kurt. She was still pretty popular even without being a cheerleader anymore. So, he could imagine that a number of people would have signed up for a dance team led by Brittany.

"So, how many people signed your list?"
Brittany smiled and pulled the list out of her pocket. "Let's find out!" She unfolded the list as she sat next to Blaine. As she held the list between the two of them, so they could both see, she noticed that their were still no names on her sign up list. She pouted, and looked very cute while doing it.
Brittany sighed. "I don't understand. Why don't people want to join?" She gazed at the sign-up sheet she had designed. It looked very pretty. There were swirls of purple and green. She even took a page out of Rachel Berry's book and put little gold stars next to each of the lines for people to print their names. It was really a very well put together sign-up sheet. She would have signed up automatically even without looking at what she was even signing up for. But that's how Brittany is.
"I mean, just because I never posted it anywhere, doesn't mean that people couldn't just sign up." She looked up at Blaine with sadness in her eyes. She was really looking forward to her roller dance team and now it seemed like it would never become a reality. This had been her chance to prove to all the rest of the world that Brittany S. Pierce no longer had to live in anyone's shadow (especially not Britney Spears' shadow). She had so wanted this to be a success and not it looked like it wouldn't be a success.
She once told Santana that glee club was like a family. And she still believed that. She loved glee club. It was wonderful. And with the roller dance team, she thought to expand her family. You could never have too many people to love and accept you no matter who you are.

"I don't understand. Why don't people want to join? I mean, just because I never posted it anywhere, doesn't mean that people couldn't just sign up."
Blaine frowned, blinking a bit. How were people supposed to sign up if she never posted the list? He was about to ask this, but he looked at the look on the blonde's face and stopped. She looked so sad and lonely. He didn't want her to feel that way at all.
"I think plenty of people wanted to sign up. I mean, look how hard you worked on that sign up sheet. Maybe they didn't know that you had the sign up sheet. I bet there's a ton of people wishing they were here right now but they didn't know where to sign up," he said, trying to reassure the girl. He didn't want both of them to be sad today. Actually, maybe they could both be happy today. What if they both skated together today? Then Brittany would have someone to skate with and Blaine would have something to keep his mind off of how much he missed Kurt.
"Actually, I would like to give it a try. I mean, I'm not that great of a dancer or skater, but I'm sure you can teach me," he said, smiling at the girl. He really hoped that this would be enough to cheer up Brittany. She was so much prettier when she was smiling.

Brittany thought about what Blaine said. Could people have wanted to sign up all along? All they had to do was ask her about it. She would have told them everything and pulled out the sign up sheet for them. "Do you really think so, Blaine Warbler?" She hoped it was true. She worked so hard on this team and even already worked out some of the dance routines. She was about to ask Blaine if he knew anyone who would want to join, but he spoke first.
"Actually, I would like to give it a try. I mean, I'm not that great of a dancer or skater, but I'm sure you can teach me."
Brittany blinked as she took in his words. Slowly her eyes lit up as she understood what Blaine meant. She smiled from ear to ear. "You really mean it? You'll join my dance team?" It didn't matter that Blaine couldn't dance (or for that matter, skate) well. Brittany could teach him. She finally had a dance partner tonight. This was going to be the best night of skating ever. She held out the sign up sheet. Her expectant eyes were on Blaine's face. "Make it official?"

"Do you really think so, Blaine Warbler?"
Blaine laughed a little and nodded at the girl. Brittany was a sweet girl and was popular, there really was no reason why people wouldn't want to join her team. "Yeah I do. I'm sure you could make roller skating dancing the next big trend in Lima."
"You really mean it? You'll join my dance team? Make it official?"
Blaine grinned at the girl's excitement as he saw her sadness fade away. Brittany could have a childlike wonder about her at times and it was absolutely adorable. "Yes. I will join your dance team," he replied, chuckling a little as he took a pen out of his bag and wrote 'Blaine "Warbler" Anderson' on the brightly colored sign up sheet. If he had just written 'Blaine Anderson' Brittany might have gotten confused of who that was. She probably really thought his last name was 'Warbler.' People really needed to stop calling him that. He hoped Wes and David never found out about that nickname. If you wanted to even call it a nickname. He briefly wondered how many rehearsals they would have, because as the soloist for the Warblers, those rehearsals sort of took precedence over anything else. Brittany was sure to understand that. After all, she would have rehearsals with New Directions as well.
He slipped his pen back into his bag and turned his attention to Brittany. "So Brittany, where do we start?"

"Yes. I will join your dance team."
Brittany smiled and watched as Blaine took out his pen. She handed the sign up sheet to him. She was so excited to finally have a member. Really, she was just very excited to start dancing. She was positive that she could teach Blaine. She watched him sign his name 'Blaine "Warbler" Anderson.' She blinked and cocked her head to the side slightly, considering this. Anderson? Why would he write Anderson? That wasn't his name. Everyone knew his name was 'Blaine Warbler.'
Suddenly Brittany understood. Anderson was his middle name. That explained everything. Everyone had a middle name. Even she had one. It was Susan. She kind of liked her name. Although it was her middle name that caused her to be Brittany S. Pierce and always live in the famous Britney Spears's shadow. But that's okay. Brittany had come to terms with that now, thanks to glee club doing Britney songs. She knew she was more talented that Spears. This roller dance team would put her on the map. And Blaine would be helping with that.
"So Brittany, where do we start?"
Brittany giggled a little. She liked Blaine Warbler. He seemed fun. "We start by going out there." She pointed to the rink. There were a good number of people out there skating in a circle, going with the flow of traffic. Some music was flowing, but no one was singing karaoke at the moment. She still thought she might want to try that. It could be fun. But first she had to get Blaine on the floor and teach him how to skate and dance!

"We start by going out there."
Blaine laughed a little as Brittany pointed out the obvious. Most of the time when people did that, they were being sarcastic and snarky, but with Brittany, she just seemed to innocent. Like she was just informing him of what to do as if he really didn't know.
He stood up on his skates and offered a hand to the girl. "May I have this dance?" he asked, smiling as he started to forget about his failed date with Kurt.
"I pretty much only know the basics and how not to fall on my butt, so this dance might not go that well. So, since you already look great out there, you're going to look even more amazing when you're skating with me," he added, laughing a little. It was true though. He hoped that he didn't make a huge fool of himself out there. Maybe it was a good thing that only a handful of people knew who he was here in Lima...

"May I have this dance?
Brittany laughed and placed her hand in the hand that Blaine offered to her. "Why yes of course you can!" Brittany took her skirt in her other hand and curtsied a little. She started heading towards the rink.
"I pretty much only know the basics and how not to fall on my butt, so this dance might not go that well. So, since you already look great out there, you're going to look even more amazing when you're skating with me."
Brittany smiled and shook her head. "Oh Blaine Warbler," she said with a laugh. "I look amazing with everybody." She pulled Blaine onto the rink and started skating with the flow of traffic. "You see, it doesn't matter who you skate with. If you have fun with that person, then you look amazing." It was matter of fact for her. Dancing was all about having fun. If you weren't having fun, then you were doing it wrong. It was simple. Brittany never understood people in the glee club that complained about the dance routine. For that matter she never understood when the cheerios complained about their routine. It was all easy to Brittany. It was easy, because she had fun.
