"I would have given you twenty percent."
David rolled his eyes. Twenty percent? That wasn't anywhere near enough. He'd still accept it, but seriously. He needed more than just that. Especially now after losing all that money to Thad.
"I bet we have Rachel Berry to thank for that. I think she scared them away."
David would not be at all surprised if Rachel had scared the rest of the customers away. Not only was the girl intense, but she was loud. He even thought that people were staring while they were having their conversation. It took everything David had not to run away himself. Okay, that wasn't true. She wasn't that bad. But when the girl was focused on something, she got this determined look on her face. It appeared she didn't notice anything else.
"It wouldn't surprise me. The girl is slightly scary."

"It wouldn't surprise me. The girl is slightly scary."
Wes laughed a little at David's statement. It was true. The girl was a little intense. But it was no surprise that it was this girl that led New Directions to victory at Regionals. He nodded and pulled out some money to pay for the CD when it was his turn at the register. He purchased the CD and made his way towards the exit of the store.
"If Rachel gets them to compete, it just means we're going to have to work extra hard to beat them at the competition. And pray that Blaine won't mind winning out against his boyfriend. Maybe someone like Jeff should take the solo so we don't have to worry about that happening..." he said, walking over to his car and unlocking it. Okay, so he was totally joking. Jeff was great, but there was a reason he had auditioned for a solo six times and hadn't gotten anything when Blaine had. There was no way they were going to allow Jeff the solo when Blaine was clearly their star. Maybe they could give him something at another performance, but not at a competition.

David chuckled and nodded. Of course, they unfortunately couldn't give Jeff the solo for competition. He was a great performer, but no one could top Blaine. They could however give Jeff a solo for the concert. That was possible. David followed Wes to the door. "Blaine is crazy about Kurt, but when it comes to a competition, he knows where his head should be." At least David hoped that Blaine knew where his head should be. And it should be in the competition, and not dwelling on what Kurt's hair smelled like.

"We hope so anyways," he said laughing a little as she opened his car door and slid into the driver's seat. "We will have to discuss it with him at the get together at my house this weekend," he said, buckling his seat belt. "Hopefully he's not glued to his phone the whole time. We may have to perform a surgery to remove it from his hand." It was a good thing both of Wes' parents were doctors.

David laughed as he got into Wes's car and buckled his seat belt. Blaine always had his phone on him. Not only was it always with him, but lately he always had it out. In fact, David was pretty sure that the only time Blaine didn't have it out, was when the Warbler was actually with Kurt. Sad thing was, he wasn't exaggerating. "Yeah, we should probably talk to him about his phone usage, especially at rehearsals."
