"I don't know. I love you and your clothing choices, but I don't think this looks right on me..."
Kurt watched as Blaine adjusted the suit in the mirror. It was very clear that Blaine didn't like it. He sighed. Blaine was uncomfortable because Kurt forced him to try on a suit that Blaine didn't want to wear in the first place. He didn't mean to make Blaine feel uncomfortable. He only wanted to show Blaine that he could wear different styles and still look great and feel comfortable as if he was in his cardigan, or Dalton blazer. But Kurt wasn't going to force him to buy the suit. Even though it really did look amazing. Kurt started thinking of other things that would look good on Blaine. Most of what he thought of was too much for the boy.
"It's okay, Blaine," he said, hoping to make Blaine feel better. He still wanted the date to go well. And he would still find something, even just one thing, to add to Blaine's wardrobe. "You don't have to buy it if you don't like it. But for the record, it does look fantastic," he said with a smile. He also didn't want Blaine to be mistaken about how he looked in it. They would find something else. It was time to go to a different store. Granted this painfully small excuse for a mall offered little in the way of shopping. But c'est la vie. This was life. Kurt just needed to buy this sweater and scarf, then they could find another place to look around.

"It's okay, Blaine, You don't have to buy it if you don't like it. But for the record, it does look fantastic,"
Blaine sighed a little He didn't want to make Kurt feel bad. The suit was great, but it just wasn't him. "Hey," he said, taking Kurt's hands in his. "It's a great suit. I just can't pull off some outfits as good as you can," he said, smiling a little. Kurt really did have the best tastes. "And the hat looks kind of silly on me," he said, laughing a little, gesturing to the hat.
He pulled Kurt to his chest and wrapped his arms around him, glad they were in an empty dressing room and not a crowded store. "Want to pick something else out for me?" he asked into the other boys' ear before planting a soft kiss to the side of his face. He loved being this close to Kurt. He felt like he could hold him this close for forever and be happy.

"It's a great suit. I just can't pull off some outfits as good as you can."
Kurt looked at Blaine's face and in his eyes as the other boy spoke to him. He held Blaine's hands as the boy held his. He loved Blaine's hands. He smiled as the boy talked about his fashion sense and ability to pull off certain looks. It was true that not everyone could pull of looks like Kurt could.
"And the hat looks kind of silly on me."
Well, Kurt supposed that only he really did have the ability to pull of fabulous hats. Kurt grinned and laughed a bit. "Well, that might be true," he said playfully as he reached up and grabbed the hat. He placed the hat right on top of his own head, then adjusted it so it looked sassy at an angle over his perfectly styled hair.
Kurt smiled and closed his eyes for a little while as Blaine pulled him into his chest. Kurt couldn't help but smell Blaine's scent. Was that his cologne? Or did he naturally smell like this? Either way it was entrancing. With his ear pressed to his chest, Kurt could hear Blaine's heart beating. It was steady and rhythmic. He was absolutely loving this moment. It was wonderful. He was so grateful they were alone right now.
"Want to pick something else out for me?"
He smiled at the statement, and at the fact that Blaine kissed his cheek. Of course Kurt wanted to pick something else out for Blaine. That was all a part of his plan. He quirked one of his eyebrows and smirked just a bit. "Of course I do," he said. And with that he took Blaine's hand once more. Once his sweater/scarf combo was all paid for he lead him out of the store. Once outside the entrance he looked around, wondering where to go next.

"Well, that might be true,"
Blaine laughed along with Kurt about the ridiculousness of the hat on his head. Kurt took the hat and placed it on his own head, angling it just right. God, this boy could really make anything look amazing. "Much better," he said, smiling at his boyfriend. He didn't want to let go of him just yet - he smelled of his face creams and moisturizers and hairspray and shampoo and just a smell that was so distinctively Kurt - he would be happy if this moment just lasted forever.
"Of course I do,"
The moment was broken, but that was okay. They still had the rest of the day to spend together and anytime that they spent together made him happy. He grinned and gave him a quick peck on the lips before very reluctantly letting him go and going back into the dressing room to change back into his jeans and his henley shirt that he had been wearing earlier. He usually paired a cardigan with this shirt but it had been too hot out and now he was a little worried that Kurt didn't like them.
He came out of the dressing room and went with Kurt as he bought his scarf/sweater combo before heading out of the store. "Where to or personal shopper of mine?" he said jokingly. "You know, they have a Gap here..." he said, holding back a laugh. He knew how much Kurt hated that store, especially after the whole incident with Jeremiah. Blaine didn't think the clothes there were that bad. He owned a few clothing items from there actually. They had some nice stuff okay? It just wasn't Kurt's style.

"Where to or personal shopper of mine? You know, they have a Gap here..."
Kurt Hummel heard the clothing store "Gap" and stopped looking around. He turned to Blaine and gave him a look much like the look he gave him when Blaine was excited about possibly getting 50% off at the Gap the time they sang there. Although he wasn't sure if Blaine had seen him give the look to the boy. Kurt pushed the memory far from his mind. That was something he didn't want to remember. But seriously the Gap-attack was horrible. Kurt hoped that if he ever got an idea like that, someone would slap it out of him. But he didn't have to worry. Kurt Hummel didn't get ideas like that. All his ideas were gold.
"No, Blaine. We're not going to the Gap." He almost shuddered. Even saying the name was bad. He looked around the mall for a promising looking store. That was hard to find at Lima. But Kurt did his best. He really preferred the Westerville Mall, though. They had such a better selection and carried more of the designers that he absolutely adored. "There," Kurt said, nodding his head at a certain store. "Rue 21. They sometimes have fun and interesting outfits." He smiled and led the way.

"No, Blaine. We're not going to the Gap."
Blaine rolled his eyes a little bit and laughed. "You know I was kidding right? I'd be surprised if I ever caught you in a Gap willingly," he said, laughing again. He knew Kurt had only gone to the Gap Attack because all of the Warblers had been performing. That whole ordeal felt like ages ago even though it had only been a couple of months. Blaine knew now that he had never loved Jeremiah. It had always been Kurt. He was just stupid enough not to realize his feelings until way later. He was just glad that it hadn't been too late.
"There, Rue 21. They sometimes have fun and interesting outfits."
"Sounds like an adventure to me," he said with a grin. "I'm sure you will be able to find something that will look amazing," he said, following Kurt. He just hoped this outfit was a little more his style and wasn't too incredibly out there. But Kurt Hummel was always full of surprises, so he had no idea what he might find...

"You know I was kidding right? I'd be surprised if I ever caught you in a Gap willingly."
Kurt laughed. Of course he knew Blaine had been kidding. But he had to give him his trademark look anyway. The Gap was to be avoided at all costs. He grinned at Blaine as he continued to lead the other boy to Rue 21.
"Sounds like an adventure to me. I'm sure you will be able to find something that will look amazing."
Kurt smiled as the pair arrived at the entrance of the store. "Things tend to be a little toned down, here. I'm sure will find something better for you here." Kurt walked in and looked around at all of the different graphic tee's. Of course he wasn't going to buy one of those, but they were entertaining enough to look at. A simple glance around told him that he would have to look harder to find something for himself and Blaine. It was more likely here, however, than it was in TJ Maxx with the Zoot Suit.

"Things tend to be a little toned down, here. I'm sure will find something better for you here."
Blaine smiled a little as he followed Kurt into the store. He was glad that they knew each other so well. Kurt knew what Blaine usually wore. And yeah okay, maybe he did wear a lot of cardigans and polo shirts, but its what he liked. Maybe he did need to change his wardrobe a little. But he really didn't think he could pull off of a lot that Kurt wore. Maybe it was time for him to step out of his shell a little wardrobe wise.
The fact was, he was a little scared. He had seen people get made fun of for clothes, he had gotten a little of that himself back in high school. Since then he had made the decision to not stand out. He has hidden away behind his blazer and worn things that wasn't going to bring too much attention to himself. He was still amazed at the fact that Kurt could be so confident wearing the designer brands he loved so much. "I'm sure we will. Did you have anything in mind?" he asked as he began looking through some shirts.

"I'm sure we will. Did you have anything in mind?"
Kurt wasn't sure entirely what he was looking for. Blaine had a very simple style. It was wrong of Kurt to try and change it so suddenly. He would start out slower. Kurt thought as he looked around for something relatively tame. Blaine liked muted colors. And cardigans. Maybe he could find something that he could wear with a muted color (although maybe not a cardigan). Then it hit him. Kurt could find Blaine something to wear that was a little bit more colorful, and he could still wear something of a dark or muted tone with it. It was the perfect plan to ease Blaine into fashion. He grinned as he turned his clear blue eyes to his boyfriend. "Pants," Kurt said simply before rushing off to wear the pants were hanging. He knew exactly what he wanted. Hopefully this was something that Blaine would go for. He couldn't imagine why he wouldn't. They would totally be his color as well. If Blaine bought anything, it would be the pair of pants that Kurt picked out for him.

Blaine had been making his way through a rack of shirts, seeing a few possibilities that weren't cardigans - when Kurt seemed to have some kind of fashion epiphany.
"Pants,"
He blinked, watching his boyfriend make his way over to the pants section of the store. Oh boy. He knew that face. That was the 'Kurt-Hummel's-on-a-mission' face. What was he up to now?
"Pants?" Blaine asked, following Kurt. "And what may I ask are you planning Kurt Hummel?" he asked, smirking a bit. He was curious to find out what the boy was planning inside that Marc Jacobs loving head of his.

"Pants? And what may I ask are you planning Kurt Hummel?"
Kurt looked back at his boyfriend and smirked slightly. He found the pants rack and started sifting through all the rejects to find that perfect pair. He talked to himself a little, as he often did while shopping. "No...no...no...definitely not..." he said as he moved through the pairs of pants hanging on the rack. He thought certainly that this place would have something for Blaine. Something tame enough so that he would wear it, but also something with a hint of color, style, and maybe a little pizazz.
Then he found them. The perfect pair of pants. Kurt himself actually had a pair just like them, but that wasn't important...as long as they didn't wear them on the same days. He could totally see Blaine wearing pants like these. He slowly turned around, with a huge Kurt Hummel smile on his face. He held up the pants for Blaine to see. They were red, really red. And they would probably be tight, and show off Blaine's butt just right. Not tight enough to be uncomfortable, but just right. "This is it," he said to Blaine. "They're perfect. Look, you can wear a dark or muted color on top. So, you see, this would be perfect to introduce you to the world of bright colors." There was a spark in Kurt's eye. He could go further and completely design a look for Blaine that would be perfect, but he'd promised to start slow. He wanted to see what Blaine would do with this.

"No...no...no...definitely not..."
Blaine chuckled as he watched Kurt flip through the various articles of clothing. It was always interesting to watch him scrutinize each piece of clothing before he deemed which ones were suitable, which ones didn't deserve his attention, and which ones should be burned right there instead of being on the rack.
"This is it, They're perfect. Look, you can wear a dark or muted color on top. So, you see, this would be perfect to introduce you to the world of bright colors."
And then Kurt held up a pair of pants. Red pants. Bright red pants. He really expected Blaine to wear those? Okay, so they weren't that bad, it's just that he had never worn pants like that before. But, he did tell Kurt that he could help him pick out some things today. And with a boyfriend that was a fashionista like Kurt, he really should not have been surprised. "Wow. Those are really bright," he said, taking the pants from Kurt and looking at them more closely. "Do you really think they would look good on me?"

"Wow. Those are really bright. Do you really think they would look good on me?"
Kurt gave Blaine his signature look. Really, when would the boy start trusting his judgement? Yes, the suit was a mistake, but these pants were amazing. It was the perfect step towards really expressing himself. "Blaine, these will look amazing on you. Trust me. Just try them on." Kurt locked his blue eyes with the other boy's hazel ones. He knew Blaine wouldn't be able to resist him if he looked in his eyes.
Kurt held the pants out for Blaine to take. He gave them a little shake and put on a pouty look. Whether Blaine liked the pants or not, Kurt figured he would get them for him. If Kurt bought them, Blaine couldn't say no. Right? It was a little backhanded, but he really needed to spice up the other boy's wardrobe, even if he did it a little at a time.

"Blaine, these will look amazing on you. Trust me. Just try them on."
Blaine laughed a little at Kurt's words paired with his expression. Even if they had been the ugliest pants in the world, Blaine would try them on for Kurt. Especially when Kurt was giving him that pout. How could anyone resist that face? It was so adorable. "Okay. I'll try them on," he said, smiling at his boyfriend and taking the pants from him.
He stepped into the dressing room and took his jeans off and then slipped on the red pants. They did look a lot better than what he had been expecting. Maybe he really could pull off different looks. He stepped out of the room and walked up to Kurt. "Well? What do you think? Do I pass?" he asked, chuckling a little.
