Blaine walked into the Lima Bean with a slight bounce in his step. He was happy that he was seeing his boyfriend, Kurt today and wow, the word 'boyfriend' still made him grin like a fool. They were both each others first boyfriends and Blaine couldn't think of another time in his life when he had been this happy.
He got in line as he waited for Kurt to get there. Blaine had known Kurt's coffee order for like a month or two before they had gotten together so he didn't have to worry about calling or texting him about what to get for him. They used to get coffee together every day before school when Kurt still went to Dalton, and some days they would even get it after school as well. Now that Kurt had transferred, them getting coffee together happened less frequently and Blaine resorted to just pouring himself a cup from the Dalton cafeteria. It didn't taste as good, but that was okay. The majority of the appeal to getting coffee off campus was that he got to spend time with Kurt anyways. He had to make adjustments to his daily routine, and he had actually been highly surprised because he didn't realize just how much that routine involved Kurt.
He made it up to the counter and smiled at the barista. "A medium drip and a grande non-fat mocha latte. And two of those cinnamon biscotti," he said, pulling out his wallet to pay. He took the plate of biscotti and waited for their coffee before taking the items to a table that was a little more secluded than their usual table. He hadn't gotten to see Kurt in a few days because of his summer job singing at theme parks and Kurt's job at his dad's shop, but they texted each other all the time and talked on the phone every night. It wasn't the same thing as actually getting to see each other in person though. And now with the groups both rehearsing for the show choir competition in California, he hoped that he would get to see Kurt as often as he wanted to. That was what summer was for. Over the summer, both of them wouldn't have to worry about being at two different schools. They would just work around their work and rehearsal schedules. Blaine sat at the table and sipped his coffee, staring at the door as he waited for his boyfriend to arrive.
Coffee shops have been an important staple in their relationship. They had had so many good memories they had shared over coffee. This particular shop had been where Blaine had confessed that he loved Kurt. He hadn't been expecting Kurt to say it back that day. It had been something he had been thinking about for a while and it had just spilled out of his mouth before he realized it. He didn't regret saying it and It may not have been the best time for that confession, but Blaine had always said that he wasn't good at romance. He had been so happy when Kurt had said he loved him back. It just seemed everything was falling into place and Blaine didn't want that to end anytime soon.

Kurt walked up to the coffee shop that he and Blaine frequented when he went to Dalton. It had been the place where Blaine said "I love you" for the first time. Kurt had said "I love you too," and it was such an amazing feeling. Yeah, he had been nervous about it, but he truly loved the Warbler.
Kurt almost couldn't believe his life this past year. His dad had a heart attack. Kurt, himself, had been bullied to the point of transferring because he feared for his life. He'd had an unwanted kiss forced on him. The Dalton Warblers canary died of a stroke. He'd lost Regionals, but had been able to compete in Nationals anyway, because he transferred back to his old school. AND he now had an amazing boyfriend who always made sure everything was okay with him and treated him amazingly well. His family, especially his dad, liked Blaine as well. It was perfect.
Kurt opened the door to the coffee shop and took a deep breath. God, he loved the smell of coffee. He wondered if Blaine had already arrived and looked around. Their usual table was empty. That was odd, unless Blaine hadn't arrived yet. just then he spotted the boy sitting at a slightly more secluded table than usual. Well, well, that was interesting.
Kurt practically skipped up to the table. A big grin was already on his face. He had been looking forward to this date since they planned it. He put his hand on the table and looked at the boy in front of him. Good lord the boy was gorgeous. "Hello, Blaine."

Blaine grinned from ear to ear as his boyfriend walked through the door. He never got tired of seeing him. He looked flawless as usual with his porcelain skin and perfectly styled hair and designer clothes. God, how did he get so lucky to be with someone as as stunningly beautiful as Kurt Hummel?
"Hello, Blaine."
He stood up to meet his boyfriend when he came over to their table. "Hey babe," he said quietly in greeting so only Kurt could hear before looking around the room. Seeing that no one was really paying attention to them, he gave Kurt a quick peck on the lips before sitting back down at their table. "Non-fat mocha latte?" he said, sliding the coffee towards his boyfriend, blushing a little. He wished he was able to be more affectionate with Kurt in public, but this wasn't Dalton. Not everyone here was as accepting, hence why he had chosen the more secluded table today. He missed Kurt, and he wanted to be able to act like 'normal' couples did when they were having a date. "So, how are you today?" he asked, taking a sip of his own coffee.

"Hey babe."
Oh, god! Every time Blaine called him that, Kurt practically swooned. This particular time, it gave Kurt chills. He also got weak in the knees. If Kurt hadn't been holding onto the table, he thought he would probably have fallen down, just from Blaine uttering those words. But then Blaine kissed him. True it wasn't a passionate kiss like their first (and many after), but Kurt understood why. Some people just weren't as comfortable with a real kiss between two males as they were at Dalton. He would just have to wait for that. As it was, even just the peck sent his head spinning. He slowly sat down at the table across from his boyfriend.
"Non-fat mocha latte?"
"Perfect as always, Blaine," he said, taking the coffee as it slid across the table. Blaine had known Kurt's coffee order for a couple months before they had ever gotten together. It was part of the reason Kurt thought Blaine had wanted to sing to him back during the Valentine's Day craze. Kurt also knew Blaine's coffee order, and if he had been the first to arrive he would have bought the coffee.
"So, how are you today?"
Kurt took a sip of his coffee before answering. How was he? Was spectacular too much to say? Because that's how he felt. He was sitting in his favorite coffee shop with his amazing boyfriend. What's not to love here? Kurt was so amazingly lucky. He looked at Blaine as he spoke. "Well I'm wonderful now."

"Perfect as always, Blaine,"
He didn't know about that now. Blaine never thought he was perfect. He was far from it. There were so many things he wished that were different and that he could have done differently. But, if he had done those things, then there was a chance that he would have never met Kurt. And Blaine could not handle that thought. So, he might not be perfect, but one thing was for sure, and that was that his life seemed pretty perfect right about now. He just knew Kurt's coffee order.
"Well I'm wonderful now."
Blaine smiled at that and ate a bite of the cinnamon biscotti he had bought. He had a bit of a sweet tooth and liked his junk food, much to he was sure of to Kurt's dismay. He finished chewing and swallowed before answering. "Great. I feel exactly the same way," he said, taking another bite of biscotti. He couldn't stop himself from staring at the boy. "I feel like it's been forever since we saw each other, but it's only been a few days. That's ridiculously sad isn't it?" he said, laughing a little. Yeah they hadn't seen each other, but they talked on the phone or over skype every night so it wasn't like they hadn't had any sort of communication with the other.

"Great. I feel exactly the same way."
Kurt smiled and watched as Blaine ate some of what could be this shops most fattening snack. A cinnamon biscotti. He noticed that there were two of the biscotti sitting on the table. Well, clearly Blaine had bought the other one for Kurt. Well, he should be polite, he guessed.
"I feel like it's been forever since we saw each other, but it's only been a few days. That's ridiculously sad isn't it?"
Ridiculously sad? Kurt didn't think so. Especially since he felt exactly the same way. They always text and they at the very least call each other each night. But it's not the same as actually seeing the other person. Kurt loves their dates. Unfortunately, they were few and far between. They needed to have more dates, but it was hard living two hours away from each other. "Well, if it's ridiculously sad, then that means we are both ridiculously sad."
Kurt again turned his attention to the cinnamon biscotti. He picked it up off of the plate that sat between them and nibbled a bit on the end. Kurt didn't really like sweets or junk food. Blaine, however, loved them. And he was always asking Kurt if he wanted something sugary. He always refused. But it was rude to refuse this. However after a few seconds of nibbling, he couldn't take it anymore. He put the biscotti back on the plate and said, "We really shouldn't eat these, Blaine. I mean, do you know how much sugar you are taking in right now?"

"Well, if it's ridiculously sad, then that means we are both ridiculously sad."
Blaine laughed, glad that he was not the only one that felt that way. He felt like he was going crazy half of the time because he thought about the other boy all the time. It was nice to know the feeling was mutual.
"We really shouldn't eat these, Blaine. I mean, do you know how much sugar you are taking in right now?"
He smiled wide, chuckling a little. He knew that was going to be Kurt's reaction. "Come on babe, a little sugar never hurt anyone. And plus, you never eat any sweets. You can afford to eat them every so often." He hoped Kurt didn't think he needed to loose weight or anything like that because that thought was just silly. Kurt was beautiful just that way he was. "So, how's Pip Pip Hooray coming? Any progress?" he asked as he dipped his biscotti in his coffee and took a bite.

"Come on babe, a little sugar never hurt anyone. And plus, you never eat any sweets. You can afford to eat them every so often."
Kurt felt his cheeks heating in a blush as they always did when Blaine called him "babe." Now, a normal person would have stammered and probably stuffed their face full of biscotti. Kurt however was not a normal person. "Blaine, do you know where sugar goes? Straight to your thighs. Do you want it going to your thighs? Because I don't." Kurt did not think he was fat by any means. He just wanted to maintain his figure. And you don't maintain your figure by eating biscotti and bon bons.
"So, how's Pip Pip Hooray coming? Any progress?"
Progress? He wouldn't exactly call it progress. Kurt had been a little distracted by a certain dark curly haired boy. Although he had worked on it. Unfortunately it seemed he didn't have have the song writing prowess of Rachel Berry. Kurt would ask Rachel to help with the musical, but Kurt thought if she started working with her outside of glee club, he would kill her. He could hang out with her and have sleep overs. But working with someone, was completely different. "I have the first scene done, but I wouldn't exactly call it progress."

"Blaine, do you know where sugar goes? Straight to your thighs. Do you want it going to your thighs? Because I don't."
Blaine chuckled a little at that, knowing that was how Kurt was going to react. Except now he was thinking about his thighs. And Kurt's. Oh. That was - That was a nice thought. He fought the urge to stare. Ok, not the time. Especially when they weren't in a place where he could just lean across the table and kiss Kurt. He shook those thoughts from his head and took a large sip of his coffee as he figured out what to say. "You have a great figure. You don't have to worry about what one biscotti is going to do. You look amazing," he said, smiling. If anything, it was Blaine that should be worried about his looks. He was short, practically all of the Warblers (including Kurt) were taller than him. And he could never do anything with his unruly hair (which is why he had to put so much gel in it to get it to do anything). Kurt was just gorgeous.
"I have the first scene done, but I wouldn't exactly call it progress."
He smiled, knowing that Kurt hadn't gotten much done on his musical. But still, he thought he would ask about it. He knew how excited he had been when he had talked about it at the beginning of the summer. "Well, a first scene is something. I can take a look at it the next time I'm over at your house if you want. Not that I've ever written a musical before," he said, laughing. "But two heads are better than one right?"

"You have a great figure. You don't have to worry about what one biscotti is going to do. You look amazing."
Kurt's cheeks definitely heated in a blush when Blaine told him that he looked amazing. Personally Kurt thought that certain things could use work, but he was very proud of his hair and his skin. Kurt was so flustered he stuffed the biscotti in his mouth and bit of a sizable chunk. Okay so he was a normal person. He finally got his composure back as he swallowed. "Do you know how I stay looking so amazing? I adhere to a strict schedule of exercise, healthy eating, and skin care which I think everyone could benefit from." Kurt even thought he might publish a book one day devoted to his skin care routine. Not surprisingly, it would fit a book easily. He would need at least a full chapter for his famous avocado face masks.
"Well, a first scene is something. I can take a look at it the next time I'm over at your house if you want. Not that I've ever written a musical before. But two heads are better than one right?"
Blaine helping Kurt write his musical? That would mean more time spent with Blaine...alone...possibly in a room with low lighting. Kurt pushed thoughts of a very sexy Blaine from his head and cleared his throat. "Why, yes that would be lovely."

"Do you know how I stay looking so amazing? I adhere to a strict schedule of exercise, healthy eating, and skin care which I think everyone could benefit from."
He laughed as he watched Kurt stuff the biscotti in his mouth. "Slow down a little. Don't want you to choke on a pastry. Of course then I'd have to give you CPR..." he said, trailing off, thinking about his lips on Kurt's and - crap. He had really said that last part out loud didn't he? He blushed a little and took a bite of his own biscotti. It shouldn't be a surprise that he liked kissing Kurt. They had kissed enough by now that Kurt should know that he was a fan. But still, it would have been great if Kurt still believed that he didn't think about kissing him and doing other things to him all the time. He was a teenage boy okay? It was natural to think about those kind of things...
Blaine smiled at Kurt and shook his head a little. He loved him, but he could really be ridiculous sometimes. And he was so particular about the way he looked. Every hair had to be in place, every bowtie perfectly straight. His moisturizing routine alone took a good hour, maybe more. Blaine just didn't have that sort of time to be worrying about skincare like that for himself. The exercise made sense. Everyone needed exercise and Blaine was a pretty active guy. And he could get behind the healthy eating thing most of the time. Every now and again he would want something like a greasy burger or bacon or something though. And he had loved junk food and had a sweet tooth. Actually, that might be pretty hard. "Everyone that's you. Your skincare routine is so extensive even if I did attempt to recreate it, I know I would forget like half of it and have like green skin or something. I'd rather watch you do it," he said with a laugh. It was true. Kurt's skincare was legendary. Blaine had heard tale of these avocado face masks he made from Mercedes and Rachel. Blaine didn't really understand what was so great about them, but he wasn't going to argue with them.
"Why, yes that would be lovely."
He grinned back at Kurt. "It's a date then," he said, taking the last bite of his biscotti. He tried not to think of getting to spend more time with Kurt alone in his house. He was pretty sure that there would be very little done regarding Pip Pip Hooray that day...

"Everyone that's you. Your skincare routine is so extensive even if I did attempt to recreate it, I know I would forget like half of it and have like green skin or something. I'd rather watch you do it."
He would rather watch him do it. Well, that made Kurt feel special. And also probably made him blush a good bit. It was then that Kurt wondered if he really wanted Blaine to watch him do his skin care routine. Were they at that point yet? Did it matter? They loved each other, so Kurt supposed it didn't matter. It could even be fun if Kurt was able to teach Blaine about good skin care. After all Blaine's T zone was incredibly dry. Really, what moisturizer did that boy use? One comment that the other boy made, though, made him laugh. "Blaine Anderson, I would still date you, even if you had green skin." It was true. He would still be the best looking boy around. And more importantly, he would still be Blaine. The boy that made Kurt feel so accepted for being himself. The boy who helped him stand up for what was right.
"It's a date then."
Kurt smiled. Great. He already had another date planned with Blaine after this one. And it was to work on his musical. Although he was pretty sure they would not get a whole lot done. Well, if you looked at it a certain way, they might get a lot done. Kurt grinned to himself. That would be an excellent date. "So, Blaine, what's next on our fun filled day, today?" Kurt still remembered that Blaine had promised him pictures. They would take pictures on this date. It will happen.

"Blaine Anderson, I would still date you, even if you had green skin."
Blaine grinned at that. "Really? But then you couldn't wear anything that clashed with green," he said jokingly. But, he knew it was true. Kurt spent a lot of time planning out outfits. "It would be kind of cool to have green skin though..." he said, thinking about if he really did have a different color skin. They would be like two different species that fell in love despite having different backgrounds and different color skin...maybe Kurt should write a musical about that? Blaine would never mention that out loud though. He knew how much Kurt loved the Royal Wedding and Pippa Middleton. He knew there was no way Kurt was going to completely change his script.
"So, Blaine, what's next on our fun filled day, today?"
"Well. You wanted pictures. Now I have my camera, or we could go to that picture booth in the mall," he said, smiling. "Speaking of which," he said, reaching into his bag and pulling out a skinny rectangular box. "I got this for you the other day when I wanted to surprise you. It's the one you liked right?" he asked, handing the box to Kurt and taking another sip of his coffee.

"Really? But then you couldn't wear anything that clashed with green. It would be kind of cool to have green skin though..."
Kurt slowly looked up at Blaine, with a weird look in his eyes. Cool? It would be cool to have green skin? Actually having green skin would be worse than dating someone with green skin. If you had green skin, you wouldn't be able to wear...well, anything really. It would be impossible to find a good color combination that didn't clash with your skin tone. He was lucky that his skin was the color it was. He was able to pull of many looks. He decided to tease Blaine a little bit. Blaine liked to rock a certain blazer of his. True, the blazer was just part of the Dalton uniform, but he loved it a little too much. "If your skin was green you wouldn't be able to wear that blazer anymore, you know."
"Well. You wanted pictures. Now I have my camera, or we could go to that picture booth in the mall. Speaking of which. I got this for you the other day when I wanted to surprise you. It's the one you liked right?"[/i]
Kurt looked at Blaine in surprise as he took the skinny box. Surely he didn't do what Kurt thought he did. But he did. The most wonderful and amazing boyfriend in the world bought him the bow tie he wanted. Kurt opened the box and his face went to pure joy. "Blaine!" he exclaimed. "Why did you do this? I mean, thank you! You didn't have to. But it means a lot." Kurt had been about to tell Blaine that they could walk around the mall and take pictures (he wasn't quite sure about the photo booth), but he got completely distracted by getting a gift. Getting a gift of the bow tie that he wanted so very badly, but couldn't get. He had so many outfit ideas already for this wonderful little item.

"If your skin was green you wouldn't be able to wear that blazer anymore, you know."
Blaine chuckled a little bit at the thought. He did love those blazers. It was one of the reasons why the Warblers looked so cool. How could you not love those blazers? 'I'm sure I could rock the blazer even with green skin. And plus," he lowered his voice a little bit and leaned in closer, "you love the blazer," he said, smirking at his boyfriend.
"Blaine! Why did you do this? I mean, thank you! You didn't have to. But it means a lot."
Blaine grinned ear to ear at Kurt's reaction. The main reason he had gotten it for him was to see Kurt smile like that. He loved it when the boy smiled. "I wanted to. I know you probably already have a ton of outfits in mind to wear with it," he said, taking another sip of coffee. "So it wasn't exactly the way I planned to give it to you," he had meant to give it to him the day he bought it by just showing up at his house and taking him on a date, but he had ended up spending the day with Finn instead. "But is it still a nice surprise?" he asked, resting his head in his hand as he looked at his boyfriend.
