"Blaine you know I like your hair,"
Blaine grinned at his boyfriend. He loved that they were this comfortable with each other that they could joke around like this. "Good. But you might think otherwise when you see how crazy it us underneath all this hair gel," he said, laughing a little. And then he realized he said 'when' he saw it and not 'if.' He hadn't said it on purpose, he just sort of assumed that Kurt would see what his ungelled hair looked like eventually. He hoped Kurt didn't read too much into his words.
He pulled into the parking lot and found a parking spot. He briefly wondered what sort of things Kurt was going to find at the mall today that he liked. Kurt had such an amazing style of clothing that was so very him. It was a shame that Kurt had had to wear the Dalton uniform for so many months and not what he wanted to wear. But then again, because of that, Blaine had grown closer to the boy and had fallen in love with him. So, maybe it wasn't as much of a shame as he thought. He parked his car and turned the engine off, thinking again of how lucky he was to have an amazing boyfriend like Kurt who loved him.

"Good. But you might think otherwise when you see how crazy it us underneath all this hair gel."
When? Did Kurt's boyfriend just use the word "when"? Was he planning something that he didn't know about? No, that didn't seem likely. It was probably just a slip of the tongue. A slip of the tongue that meant that Blaine hoped they would be together for a very long time, just like Kurt did. He decided not to mention him saying "when." He just smiled to himself and unbuckled his seat belt. "I'm sure it looks okay," Kurt said.
He looked at the mall and smiled. His secret plan will be put into action soon. He was very excited about this. Blaine would be so thrilled!

"I'm sure it looks okay,"
Blaine smiled at his boyfriend, wondering why he had ever had the silly thought that Kurt would not like his hair. He shouldn't ever be worried about Kurt not liking his hair. No matter how crazy it was. "You're amazing," he said, leaning over and pressing a soft kiss to the other boy's lips. He still had the taste of coffee on his lips, which made Blaine smile even more before breaking the kiss.
"Ready to astound me with your superior shopping talents?" he asked, chuckling as he unbuckled his seatbelt and moved to open the door. He knew Kurt loved to shop, and Blaine loved seeing Kurt happy.

"You're amazing."
Kurt was very happy that Blaine thought he was amazing. Of course Kurt thought he was amazing, but it wasn't the same thing. Blaine was saying it genuinely about something other than the countertenor's voice. Just as he was thinking of something to say to respond, Blaine kissed him again. Kurt absolutely loved that the two of them could just kiss whenever they wanted. Well, maybe not whenever they wanted, but whenever they were alone. This is something that could never be replaced. Kurt's heart pounded as both boys smiled and the kiss broke.
"Ready to astound me with your superior shopping talents?"
Kurt laughed and opened his door, sliding out of the car. Blaine definitely would be astounded. Kurt was down right astonishing when he shopped, and he always got the best deals, even when some of those deals were expensive. He only wore designer. Despite this, Kurt knew how to shop. "You know it!" he said with a grin. It was time to get his shop on. Shopping with his boyfriend was perfect. He was confident that Blaine liked everything he wore, but it would be nice to get his opinion before he bought something. Not to mention his secret project. Kurt almost smirked thinking about it.

Blaine smiled at Kurt as their kiss broke. He loved that could kiss like that anytime they wanted. And Blaine wanted to do so a lot. It was hard to resist the boy beside him and even harder to resist him when they were in public when they couldn't actually act on those urges. It just made their time they had together in private that much more special.
"You know it!"
He grinned as he got out of the car and pressed the lock button on his keys before putting them into his pocket. "Well Mr. Hummel, I'm ready to be amazed. Lead away," he said, gesturing towards the mall. "I'll try to keep up," he said, in a mock whisper and winking at Kurt. Shopping was where Kurt was in his element, and it was an amazing thing to watch.

""Well Mr. Hummel, I'm ready to be amazed. Lead away. I'll try to keep up."
Kurt grinned and chuckled at his joke. "You'd better, Mr. Anderson," he replied. Kurt walked straight to the mall entrance without further distraction. It was time to shop. When he got to the entrance he looked back to make sure Blaine was in fact keeping up. He then opened the door and walked in.
Kurt looked around at all the stores. Granted, Lima didn't have the biggest mall in the world. And on top of that, it didn't have the greatest stores either. Kurt would have preferred a shopping spree in New York City. But then, who wouldn't? New York City had the country's best shopping. Hands down. Every designer Kurt had ever dreamed of wearing, you could find in New York. It was where Kurt would go after high school. He loved performing, and would never give it up. It was part of why he was going to New York City after graduation. But, let's face it, there was not much performing work out there for a countertenor. So, he would pursue fashion. And he loved fashion. He would be like his idols Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen. And if he was able to get some performing done in the meantime, he definitely would.
As he looked at the stores. Then he spotted on the he loved. If he had a favorite, this would be it. He could never leave the mall without at least going in to have a peek at the new clothes that just arrived. That would be the best place to start searching for a new outfit for Blaine. "This way," Kurt said. "To the TJ Maxx." It was one of the best store in this place. It had almost everything that Kurt was looking for. He was sure to find something he liked.

"You'd better, Mr. Anderson,"
Blaine grinned back at Kurt and followed him into the mall. Wow, Kurt really did love to shop. He was even walking ahead of Blaine. All Blaine wanted to do was hold Kurt's hand and walk around, watching Kurt's eyes light up when he saw a particular item of clothing he liked. He knew Kurt dreamed about shopping in New York and Blaine couldn't help but imagine the two of them walking hand in hand in the big city together. They were more likely to be accepted there as well, considering the marriage law that was just passed a few months ago. Of course that led to other thoughts way in the future of him with a certain blue-grey eyed someone with porcelain skin by his side...
"This way, To the TJ Maxx."
His thoughts were interrupted by that some someone, although a few years younger than in the fantasy he had just been thinking about. Blaine smiled, back in the moment, and followed him into the store. "I'm right behind you," he said, reassuring the boy he was following. He couldn't wait to see what sort of clothes the boy found for himself.

"I'm right behind you."
Kurt heard Blaine's deeper timbre behind him and smiled. He loved that voice. He loved it whether it was talking to him or singing (to him or otherwise). Kurt's hand reached back and took hold of Blaine's hand. Blaine's hand was bigger than Kurt's. His hand fit right inside. He could feel Blaine's calloused fingers against his skin. They were calloused from playing guitar. A guitar that he was sure Blaine could play at the same time as he sang. His boyfriend was so talented. One of these days he had to convince him to bring his guitar with him.
He looked over his shoulder and smiled at Blaine, his blue-gray eyes showing all of his feelings for the boy whose hand he held. The boy was truly amazing. He squeezed Blaine's hand and led him forward through the clothing racks of the TJ Maxx. There were lots of designer clothes and styles, for cheaper than you could get them at the designer stores. He saw several things that he would like, right off the bat. One of which was a sweater/scarf combo. His eyes lit up and he went right for them. He lift the sweater off of the rack with the hand that wasn't holding Blaine's. It was a gorgeous color that complimented his eyes well. Kurt wouldn't have minded owning this little combo. He smiled as he thought about what pants he already had that would match the sweater and scarf.

Blaine smiled when Kurt reached back and took his hand. It was so great to feel that wanted and special because another person cared that much about you. Kurt's soft hand fit so well into his, it was almost like it was meant to be there. My missing puzzle piece... he thought in his head, smiling at the song lyric that he had sang to Kurt on the day that had first met. That song had quickly become one of his favorite songs ever and it fit them so well. He had even made it Kurt's ringtone for whenever the boy called him. He wasn't sure if Kurt knew that at all.
He walked over to the rack of clothes with Kurt and gave his hand a small squeeze. Kurt began looking at a sweater/scarf combo which made Blaine smile as he thought of his boyfriend's love of scarves. "That's really nice. And I can tell that you like it," he said, smiling at how brightly Kurt's eyes had lit up. Blaine saw a few cardigans and began flipping through a couple of them, his other hand never leaving Kurt's. He loved cardigans and cold always use another one. He saw a olive green one and pulled it out, looking it over. He wondered what Kurt would think about the clothing item...

"That's really nice. And I can tell that you like it."
Kurt smiled and felt the material in his hand. It felt good. It was an excellent find. He was surprised to find something so soon into his shopping date with Blaine. "I do like it. Love it actually. Especially the scarf." Kurt held the sweater up to himself like he was wearing it and turned towards Blaine. "What do you think? I think it could go a little lower, but--"
Kurt suddenly saw that Blaine was looking through the cardigans. Oh dear lord...the cardigans. Now, one or two cardigans was...okay, he supposed. But Blaine had about twenty! Okay, Kurt was exaggerating. But he definitely had way too many of them. "A cardigan? Really, Blaine? No. I don't care if that cardigan matches your eyes. You need to branch out. As your boyfriend, I have taken it upon myself to complete this task and help you through it." This was it. It was time to unleash his brilliant plan. "Just consider me, your personal shopper!"
And with that declaration, Kurt dragged Blaine by the hand he was still holding to the back of the store. This was wear the more daring outfits were on display. Then Kurt saw it. It was an amazing suit. Zoot suit-esque, if you will. It was a gorgeous blue color. Not the same blue as the sweater in Kurt's hand. That one complimented his eyes. This suit absolutely perfectly matched his eyes. And unless his eyes deceived him, it came with a hat! A fabulous hat. Blaine would look stunning in that suit. It was perfect. Blaine probably had no idea how perfect he would look in this suit. "This is it. Blaine this suit is perfect!" Kurt looked right at Blaine, an expression of glee on his face. "You have to try it on!" He was positively bubbling over with excitement. If Blaine was hesitant about this suit, once he tried it on he wouldn't be.

"I do like it. Love it actually. Especially the scarf. What do you think? I think it could go a little lower, but--"
Blaine smiled at Kurt as he talked about the possible new addition to his extensive wardrobe. Kurt was always so passionate about his clothing. He knew what looked good on him and what even looked good on others. Watching Kurt like this was like watching him meet a friend for the very first time. "That scarf is amazing. And I would definitely approve of it going lower..." he said, flashing his boyfriend a small smirk. He may have told Kurt in the past that he looked like he was having gas pains when he was trying to be sexy. But, he had been trying too hard. The thing was: Kurt Hummel was sexy without trying. And he was definitely way more sexy than a baby penguin. This fact was getting harder and harder to not think about the longer their relationship lasted. He turned his attention back to the cardigan. He didn't think he had one in this particular color...
"A cardigan? Really, Blaine? No. I don't care if that cardigan matches your eyes. You need to branch out. As your boyfriend, I have taken it upon myself to complete this task and help you through it. Just consider me, your personal shopper!"
He blinked at his boyfriend. He needed to...branch out? What did that even mean? "What's wrong with cardigans? I like them..." he said, pouting a little. Did Kurt really not like his cardigans? But he wore them all the time and Kurt had never said anything about them...Blaine shook his head a little bit at the last comment. He loved Kurt, but he wasn't sure about him being his personal shopper. "Why do I have the feeling that this was your plan all along?" he said, laughing a little as Kurt pulled him to the back of the store. Maybe he would let Kurt pick out a few things for him. Something not a flashy as some of the things Kurt wore though. Blaine loved Kurt's outfits, but he was pretty sure that he would never be able to pull them off like his boyfriend could. He looked around at the clothing selection and grew a little worried. He would never wear any of this normally. Maybe his boyfriend was going to look at a section that Blaine didn't know about...
"This is it. Blaine this suit is perfect! You have to try it on!"
Nope. He didn't. Kurt had picked out the bluest suit that Blaine had ever seen. And he had a subscription to Vogue. He saw a lot of suits. "It's a great suit Kurt, but I don't know. I usually don't wear things like this," he said, wishing he could go back to where that cardigan was. He sighed a little, taking a better look at the suit. It was really nice..."I guess trying it on couldn't hurt though..." he said, still very unsure about this idea. But if trying it on would make Kurt happy, he would do it.

"Why do I have the feeling that this was your plan all along?"
Kurt smirked. Blaine finally figured out his plan. It was a brilliant plan after all. Blaine could use Kurt's fashion sense. Blaine sort of needed to use Kurt's fashion sense. It was good for Blaine that Dalton had a uniform. Then again, maybe that was the reason that Blaine dressed himself like he was a grandfather.
"It's a great suit Kurt, but I don't know. I usually don't wear things like this."
Kurt gave Blaine the puppy dog eyes. He just knew that Blaine would look amazing in this suit. He really wanted to see him in it. And he just knew that Blaine would love it once he tried it on. "Please?" he added. Maybe that would help.
"I guess trying it on couldn't hurt though..."
Yes! Kurt had success! He grabbed the suit down and put it in Blaine's hands. He then led him over to the dressing rooms and practically pushed him into one. "Come out when you change and let me see!" he said excitedly. "Oh wait!" Kurt plopped the matching hat right on top of Blaine's head, then pushed him back towards the dressing rooms. He had a smile on his face. This was going so well!

"Please?"
Blaine sighed when he saw Kurt pull that face. How could anyone resist that? That face shouldn't be legal. Kurt could probably get anyone to do whatever he wanted with that face. It was absolutely adorable. "Okay. Just stop giving me that look," he said smirking a little.
"Come out when you change and let me see! Oh wait!"
He blinked and didn't put up much resistance as his boyfriend shoved clothes in his hands and pushed him into a dressing room. He shook his head a little as Kurt added a hat to the suit and sighed once the dressing room door was closed. How had their coffee/picture/mall date turn into Kurt deciding to play dress up with Blaine? And oh god that sounded bad in his head. But, when Kurt gave him that look, Blaine couldn't refuse him.
He sighed again and got changed out of his clothes before changing into the suit. He looked at himself in the mirror without the hat on. Okay, he didn't look bad per se, the suit just didn't look right on him. He couldn't really place it. Blaine had wore a lot of different suits in his life so far, and he had to wear a uniform for school everyday so he was pretty comfortable in them. But this - something was off about this. Maybe it would look better with the hat? Blaine put the hat on and looked in the mirror again. Nope, the hat made it look more ridiculous. Blaine didn't wear a lot of hats anyways. He had some beanies he wore when it was cold out, but that was mainly for practical purposes because they kept his ears warm. This hat was just - no. Just no. He briefly considered not coming out out of the dressing room at all. but knew that wouldn't work with Kurt.
Blaine looked at himself one more time, shaking his head before exiting the dressing room. The things he would do for his boyfriend. "Alright, I'm not really sure about this," he said a little nervously, walking over to Kurt to model it for him. "What do you think?"

Kurt waited and waited for Blaine to come out of the dressing room. Seriously, what was taking him so long? Was he so worried about how he was looking silly that he wasn't putting the suit on. Kurt paced back and forth, waiting for him. He found a mirror and looked at the sweater again. Yeah, he was gonna buy it. It was perfect. And he hoped Blaine would buy that suit. For the quality of the suit it wasn't too expensive. This was TJ Maxx after all.
"Alright, I'm not really sure about this. What do you think?"
Kurt turned around as Blaine walked out of the dressing room. Kurt's jaw practically dropped. It looked better than he thought it would. And the hat completely set it off. He grinned at his prowess of picking out clothes. "That looks fantastic!" Kurt clapped his hands as he looked Blaine over. He walked around him in a complete circle so he could take in the suit, and Blaine, at every angle. Kurt was right. It was perfect. "You have to buy it!"

"That looks fantastic! You have to buy it!"
Blaine sighed and walked over to the three-way mirror in the dressing room. Of course Kurt would say that. It made him even more uncomfortable because while Kurt thought he looked amazing, Blaine didn't think so. He adjusted the suit in the mirror, trying to find what Kurt saw that was so 'fantastic.' He didn't see anything. Blaine had seen some crazy outfits in Vogue and even Kurt had a few that were out there, but Blaine never thought of himself wearing them. He couldn't really pull them off like Kurt could. Kurt was tall, long and lean with pale, flawless porcelain skin and soft hair and striking blue eyes. But Blaine was short with olive skin and bushy triangular eyebrows and curly hair that stuck out in all directions. Blaine usually didn't worry much about his appearance, but when he thought about himself compared to Kurt, it was obvious who the more attractive one was.
"I don't know. I love you and your clothing choices, but I don't think this looks right on me..." he said, adjusting the hat on his head, trying to make the outfit look better. It wasn't really helping much. He really wished he had his cardigans or his blazer back right about now...
