David is very laid back and relaxed. He makes friends easily. He's outgoing and willing to talk to everyone and give them a chance. As easy going as he is, he likes there to be orders in meetings (though he doesn't go as far as Wes). He cares deeply about the Warblers and is honored to be their historian and secretary. He loves dancing and willing contributes as much choreography as he can. Always a team player.
History:
David has lived his whole life in Ohio to a upper-middle income family. He has always been involved in some sort of group or club. In fact, when he was ten years old he ended up in the same boy scout troupe as Wes Montgomery. The boys became fast friends. Soon, David started spending a lot of time over at Wes's house. Of course occasionally Wes would go over to David's, but let's face it. Wes had cooler stuff. David would even vacation with Wes's family and go to their vacation home in California.
When high school came around, both boys started at Dalton Academy. David liked to sing, but mostly liked to dance. He auditioned for The Warblers with Wes his first year and they both made it in! Because of their involvement in the Warblers, David spent time with the Larks, the glee club from Dalton Academy's sister school. It was then that he met his girlfriend, Lucy Trevelyan. During the middle of that year, a new kid transferred to Dalton, Blaine Anderson. David didn't know why he transferred, but you only had to look at the new kid to tell that he had gone through some rough times. David and Wes quickly befriended Blaine, and so the duo soon became a trio. One day Wes and David heard Blaine sing. They quickly cornered him and told him about the Warblers. Blaine auditioned, and of course, made it in.
Soon, junior year came and Wes became president of the Warblers. David, the resident history buff, became the groups secretary and historian. He strove to make sure the minutes were correct at every meeting. He even has been working on gather old Warbler documents and updating the groups history. Soon, the Warblers were no longer just a choir, but a true glee club. David was even getting to incorporate some of his choreography into the songs they performed. During this same year, the Warblers were giving one of their many impromptu performances when they noticed a strange boy watching them. This boy was Kurt Hummel. He was a 'spy' from the New Directions. However, all three boys knew that there was something more going on. Long story short, Kurt ended up transferring to Dalton for much the same reasons that Blaine transferred.
Kurt of course auditioned and was easily let into the Warblers. He had so many ideas, however at this point it wasn't the time for him. Wes and David began noticing some feelings growing between Blaine and Kurt. They tried several times to get the two of them together. Time went on and the Warblers tied with New Directions at Sectionals.
More time went on and Blaine revealed he had a crush. However it was not on Kurt. He had a crush on a junior manager at the Gap. The Gapattack would go down in Warbler history, but David secretly wished he could erase it. Either way, Blaine would never live it down. Pavarotti, the Warblers canary died of a stroke. Because of this, Kurt and Blaine finally ended up getting together right before Regionals. The Warblers, unfortunately, lost to the New Directions. David was disappointed, but there was always next year (and there are tons of Gaps in Ohio). Kurt transferred back to McKinley High School. He was a valuable member of the Warblers and would be missed, but David knew that Kurt belonged there. He knew that this was not their last meeting. With Wes as their President, he knew there would be some fun summer performances coming up.
Short rp Sample
(Wes and David hearing Blaine sing freshman year)
“But Wes, you really don't understand. The combination of slides and pops is what makes N'SYNC---” David stopped in mid-sentence. He thought he heard something. Something that sounded like singing. He looked around and finally spotted the source. It was Blaine Anderson. David stood for a while in awe. The kid was good....really good. How had they not heard him sing before? David looked over at Wes to see if he was having the same reaction to Blaine's voice as him. They had to get this guy into the Warblers. He'd make a wonderful addition. His baritone would add so much and really full out the sound.
David approached Blaine and cleared his throat. “Hey, new kid,” he said with a smile. “We'd like to talk to you about the Warblers.”
