Peer Pressure
Personality:
Finn has been shown at time to give into peer pressure because he wants to be liked and not made into an outcast. Despite feeling guilty, Finn has bullied others at school and has often allowed others to bully him into doing things he would usually not agree to. A factor in this has been that Finn has been shown at times to think (wrongly) that popularity is about the only thing he has going for him. However, we have seen Finn bury his earlier concerns with popularity and image and he is now unambiguously a "Gleek". While he is often able to "get" people and intuit them well. Intellect appears to not be one of his talents, and combined with his naturally trusting nature, this has allowed many of his friends to manipulate his naivety, to suit their own personal desire. The most notable examples would be Quinn's lie regarding how Finn supposedly impregnated her, and Mr. Schuester planting pot on him to blackmail him into joining the Glee group by exploiting the way he was committed into doing his mother proud. He's also a natural born leader, and tries his best. No matter what Finn does, he always tries to give his all. He is especially concerned about being a good son, and becoming a good man. After having lost his father in Desert Storm, he vowed to do whatever it took to make his mother proud of him. His search for a father figure (now apparently ended with the Hummel-Hudson family going strong) has also been important. Finn also enjoys singing very much, having discovered his natural talent while singing with her mother's ex boyfriend one afternoon, he's said that the glee club is the one thing that's made him happy in a long time. Because of his positions as the captain of the football and basketball teams, co-captain of New Directions, and all of the other responsibilities expected of him as a son, brother, friend, boyfriend and student, Finn is often extremely stressed out. He often tries to keep his stress levels hidden from others, but it often results in him exploding when pushed too far, as seen when he discovered that Quinn's baby was not his, or when he gets upset with Kurt after he moves in
History:
Finn is introduced as quarterback of the William McKinley High School football team. He is blackmailed into joining the school glee club, New Directions, by its faculty director Will Schuester . Despite being ostracized by the other football players, including his best friend Puck, Finn comes to enjoy being in the club. To the chagrin of his girlfriend, head cheerleader Quinn Fabray, he develops feelings for New Directions' lead singer, Rachel Berry. Quinn discovers that she is pregnant, having cheated on Finn with Puck, but tells Finn that the baby is his. Rachel later discovers the truth and informs Finn, who attacks Puck and breaks up with Quinn, but is able to lead the glee club to victory in their first show choir competition. He and Rachel briefly date, but Finn breaks up with her to concentrate on his own well-being. Finn is nonetheless annoyed when Rachel begins dating Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff), the lead singer of rival glee club Vocal Adrenaline. Jealous of their relationship, he loses his virginity to cheerleader Santana Lopez, but immediately regrets it and claims to Rachel that he did not go through with it. By the time the club reach the next stage of show choir competitions, Rachel and Jesse have separated. Finn tells her that he loves her; they kiss, and become a couple over the summer holidays.
Glee club member Kurt Hummel has a crush on Finn, and sets his father Burt up with Finn's mother Carole as a ploy to spend more time with him. Finn initially opposes the relationship, worried that his mother will forget about his late father, but relents when Burt tells Finn that he loves Carole.[9] He and his mother eventually move in with the Hummels, but when Finn uses a homophobic slur against Kurt during an argument, Burt throws him out. Finn attempts to make amends by standing up for Kurt when he is victimized by bullies. Several months later, the bullying against Kurt has intensified, but Finn refuses to stand up for him again, concerned that it may jeopardize his position as quarterback. Their parents marry, and Finn uses his best man speech as an opportunity to apologize to Kurt, forming a brotherly bond between the two.
Rachel learns the truth about Finn sleeping with Santana. She kisses Puck in revenge, which causes Finn to break up with her. He and Quinn reunite, however their renewed relationship proves un-fulfilling, and Finn ultimately breaks up with her again.
Rp Sample:
Finn walked into the choir room with a confident air about him. The New York trip was awesome! He go to hit all of big New York sites, He was back with Rachel, and the New Directions did well...though them could have done better if he hadn't kissed Rachel during their duet. Hopefully everyone wasn't still mad at him, but chances are they were.
He saw that his brother was the first one in the room.
"Hey Kurt! Last day, ready for the big trip you dad was talking about?"
