Blaine stood in front of the mirror in the dressing room backstage at the King's Island amusement park. He had performed here many times in the past, the latest having been at Christmas time for the King's Island Christmas Spectacular. He had performed many times already this summer, but today was different. Today, his boyfriend was going to be in the audience. And so because of this fact, he was extra excited to have a good show.
He adjusted his tie and slicked back his hair, letting a few stray curls fall over his forehead. He was dressed in a suit a la Zac Efron as Link Larkin in Hairspray which was appropriate because it was a 60's theme show. He was even performing a song from the musical/movie. This job might not have been the best job ever (and performing at theme parks was a little embarrassing) but it was a job where he got to perform for people, and he did love doing that. He smiled to himself and checked his phone again. Blaine had been texting Kurt all day since it was a two hour drive to get to the park from Lima and he was in a car of people including Rachel and Finn. He hadn't heard from him in a while, so he assumed that he was at the park (Blaine had gotten them free passes - one of the few perks of this job). He was excited to get to spend the rest of the day with them at the park after the show was over. He didn't think rollercoasters were really Kurt's thing, but maybe he would be able to convince him to get on a few rides.

Kurt hopped out of the car and shut the door. He was finally here at King's Island amusement park. He was going to see his boyfriend, Blaine, perform and he could not wait. He had spent 2 hours in a car with Finn and Rachel. He wished it wasn't 2 hours away, but he did get to spend time singing show tunes with Rachel, one of his favorite past times. They had tortured Finn with selections from Wicked, West Side Story, Les Miserables, and a few others that were not as well known.
Getting into the amusement park was easy enough. It wasn't that pricey. It wasn't until he was all the way in the park that he remembered to wait for Finn and Rachel. his mind had been on nothing but Blaine. He sometimes forgot about other things when thinking of his boyfriend. That boy had that kind of effect on Kurt. Not that Kurt was complaining. Finn might complain. Kurt leaned against a pillar as he waited for his step-brother and best friend. He pulled out his phone and realized that Blaine had sent him a text message. Kurt sent a quick one back saying that he, Finn, and Rachel had arrived safely and were really looking forward to the show.
Looking around it was clear where Blaine was going to perform. There was a stage set up for the performance. It was 60s themed. Kurt caught a glimpse of Blaine's outfit before, and he approved. Blaine looked good, even if the suit reminded him of Zac Efron. In fact, Kurt believed he would probably have to beat off some of the female audience members with a stick after the show. Lots of females would be incredibly disappointed when they learned that Blaine didn't play for their team. But Kurt was happy about that. It was one of the best things to come from his short stay at Dalton Academy.
Kurt checked his phone for the time. Blaine would start performing soon. He was glad they got there early. It would be easier to get seats. People were already starting to sit down. They needed to hurry.

Rachel got out of the car, excited that they were finally here. She and Kurt had passed away the two hour drive by singing along to various showtunes with Kurt. They had only argued over who was singing what part a few times. She was just happy they could both agree on what part to sing when it came to Wicked.
She didn't like being cooped up in a car for that long. They were going to see Blaine perform and she was curious about what the performance was going to be like. She had seen the boy perform before with the Warblers and had even sang with him in the past, but had never seen him sing a solo. She had been trying to get Kurt to tell her any details about the show, but he refused to tell her anything.
Speaking of Kurt - where did he go? Wait - there he was. He was already by the entrance, going into the park. Only Kurt would still wear designer clothes when going to a theme park. She smiled a little at his excitement and waited for Finn before following her best friend into the park.
She spotted him leaning on a pillar with his phone out. He had been texting Blaine all day, so she didn't wonder who had his attention. "So where is Blaine performing? We need to get good seats right?" she asked, flashing Kurt a smile. She was happy he found somebody. After all he had been through the past year, he deserved it.

"So where is Blaine performing? We need to get good seats right?"
Good seats? Of course they needed good seats. They needed to get the best seats in the whole audience. Kurt had to be able to see Blaine perfectly no matter where he was on stage. He pointed towards the stage. "He'll be performing over there. If we hurry we can still get the best seats," he said with a smile.
His boyfriend was putting on a performance, without the Warblers. That rarely happened. And Blaine was so charismatic. He didn't need the Warblers backing him up all the time. He had confidence enough on his own. He could captivate a crowd with only his voice and his guitar. Kurt had seen it. And by that he meant that Blaine had captivated him with only his voice and a guitar. Kurt practically drooled the first time he heart Blaine play. The guitar was just so....sexy. There was no other way to describe it. And the way Blaine played, well let's just say that the text he just sent him about keeping the fan girls away, was likely to be true.

Finn stepped out of the car and slammed the door shut. He quickly locked the door and jogged to catch up with the excited pair ahead of him. "Hey guys wait up!" Kurt had the right to be excited he was going to see his boyfriend preform on stage, no doubt this show would be just for Kurt. Rachel was excited too, she was always excited to go see a show and she would be extra excited to see one of her friends preforming. Finn was excited too, Blaine's freaking awesome. Now Finn was excited to see Blaine preform. His eyes looked over to a roller coaster full of screaming park goers. He was really excited to run around the park and ride EVERYTHING! Hopefully Blaine could hang out after he preformed, cause Rachel and Kurt would ride any of the big rides with him.
