Brittany was very, very excited as she walked into the mall with Santana. She needed another swimsuit. The one she had now was okay, except it didn't fit. Her mom said she should buy another one. So she called on her best friend, and the girl she happened to be in love with, Santana Lopez. She trusted Santana's judgment above all other people. Santana was usually right and she didn't leave Brittany behind. She was lucky to have her in her life.
Brittany's eyes traveled the many stores in the mall, well all the ones she could see. Which one would have swimsuits? More specifically, bikinis. She had to show off what she had, after all. Her eyes were bright with anticipation as she let them settle on the Latina girl beside her. She was her rock. "I want a really cute bikini," she said to her, smiling in her Brittany way. She had once been told that she was too adorable for words. She didn't really know what that meant, because obviously if the person was talking, they still had words. But she had taken it as a compliment anyway.
Her mind was all aflutter with the things that she and Santana would do at the mall. Because they didn't have to leave after getting her bikini, although that was their primary goal. Maybe they could still hang out and have some fun. Maybe even go back to Santana or Brittany's place later. That was where the real fun happened anyway. In either of their bedrooms. But Brittany pushed that from her mind. Right now she didn't need to be distracted. It was all about getting her swimsuit. Nothing could distract her from this. Suddenly a spark of sunlight hit the column next to them and Brittany stared at it, transfixed for a little while. How did the sunlight do that?
