"I'm singing "Gimme Gimme" from the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. It's a great song for my vocal range and I'm sure that it will be a great crowd pleaser. It's one of the many selections I have prepared for auditions like these,"
Finn wasn't really sure he had ever heard that song before, he knew he defiantly had never heard of Thoroughly Modern Millie before. Must have been Barbra though. He really couldn't think of anyone one else that Rachel would want to sing for an audition. He hoped to went well for all three of them today. He was sure Rachel had it in the bag and he had never really heard Melody sing but she seemed pretty confident.
"Oh...I guess I'm going up early. Well, wish me luck!"
Oh wow it was starting already. Melody was the first to be called off to the stage out of the three. This ought to be good! It would be his first time hearing her sing so he was just a little bit excited. "Good luck!"

"Well, wish me luck!"
"Break a leg!" she called to her as the girl took the stage. Rachel knew all about the 'theatre superstitions.' It was bad luck to say 'good luck' to somebody. She cringed a little when Finn said it, but she knew that he didn't know any better. She would have to explain to him later.
Melody began singing and Rachel was impressed. She wasn't as good as herself of course, but she was pretty good. Her style was pretty loose and Rachel doubted she had the vocal chops for Broadway, but she wasn't going to jump to conclusions. Rachel clapped along with everyone else and smiled at the girl when she came back over. "I've never heard that song done like that before. It was great," she said, looking over her sheet music one last time.

Oh wow, Finn thought as the song was wrapping up. He clapped with the rest of the audience and Rachel. He really had never heard that song before but it was really really good! Man she was wicked talented. It may not have surprised Rachel but she had heard her sing before. Finn on the other hand did not and she sang much better then he had expected. Too bad theater took her away from being in the Glee club.
Rachel was up next. Finn couldn't wait to here her sing. He knew she was gonna be awesome! She always was. His nerves were really acting up now. He had to follow Rachel! Rachel was the most talented member of Glee club! Compared to her he must have sounded like a dying cow. Oh well he had to try.

Melody smiled as her song finished, hearing the applause...from Rachel and Finn in particular. She smiled wider. She loved getting applause from strangers, but she loved even more to get applause from her friends. She bowed and packed up her guitar, then walked off stage.
"I've never heard that song done like that before. It was great,"
"Thanks! I'm still not used to auditions, so I'm still a little wierd about it. I wasn't shaking or anything, was I?" she asked nervously.

"Thanks! I'm still not used to auditions, so I'm still a little weird about it. I wasn't shaking or anything, was I?"Rachel shook her head and smiled a little before standing up and smoothing down her dress. "No, you did fine," she said, taking a deep breath to let out any nerves she had. "Okay, here I go," she said, walking up the the stage in front of the microphone. "Hello, my name is Rachel Berry and I will be singing "Gimme Gimme" from the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie." Rachel smiled and then opened her mouth and began to sing: A simple choice, nothing more This or that, either or Marry well, social whirl, business man, clever girl Or pin my future on the boy I love What kind of life am I dreaming of?
I say gimme, gimme ... gimme, gimme Gimme, gimme that thing called love I want it Gimme, gimme that thing called love I need it Highs and lows, tears and laughter Gimme happy ever after Gimme, gimme that thing called love
Gimme, gimme that thing called love I crave it Gimme, gimme that thing called love I'll brave it Thick 'n thin, rich or poor time Gimme years and I'll want more time Gimme, gimme that thing called love

Gimme fat boy's famous arrow Gimme, gimme that thing called love!Rachel gave the song her all, like she did every performance she did. Anyone could show up to this talent show: talent scouts, movie producers, etc. So Rachel had to be prepared for anything. That and her dads were coming, and she always loved to sing for them. She grinned and curtseyed, thanking the judges before going back over to Finn and Melody. "So, what did you think?"(Listen HERE )

"Thanks! I'm still not used to auditions, so I'm still a little weird about it. I wasn't shaking or anything, was I?"
Finn gave her a thumbs up. "I have never heard that song before. You were awesome! Great job!" "Okay, here I go,"
Finn smiled. "Your gonna be awesome! Knock'em dead!." This was it Rachel was going to do her number. He sat patiently listening to her sing. He had never heard of this musical but just like everything else she sang she was amazing! She really knew what she was doing when it came to musical numbers. How did he not notice her before the glee club? She Finished up singing and of course Finn applauded. "So, what did you think?" "You were really amazing!! There is no way you wont make into the show." This was it. He was up next. He took a deep breath. He was following two crazy talented singers and he wasn't sure he could really keep up with them. But he couldn't back down now this was it. He picked up a boom box and walked onto the stage. "Hello my name is Finn Hudson and I'll be singing 'Fly Me To The Moon' made famous by Frank Sinatra." He pushed the play button and began to sing. Fly me to the moon Let me play among the stars Let me see what spring is like On a-Jupiter and Mars In other words, hold my hand In other words, baby, kiss me
Fill my heart with song And let me sing for ever more You are all I long for All I worship and adore In other words, please be true In other words, I love you
Fill my heart with song Let me sing for ever more You are all I long for All I worship and adore In other words, please be true In other words, in other words I love ... you He finished singing and felt like he was going to throw up. He smiled at the judges. "Thank You." He really really really hoped he did well. Can't go wrong with Old Blue Eyes. He wasn't the best at judging himself at really anything. She stepped off the stage and looked at Rachel and Melody. The laughed nervously. "So um how did I do?"(Listen Here

Melody smiled brightly and clapped for both of her friends. "Both of you were awesome!" she said in response to the anxious looks they both gave her. "You'll be tough competition, that's for sure."
