"Of course you will. You're the Warblers. And you're going to win."
Blaine laughed a little at that. "Well, thank you. It's nice to know that we have so many fans.. I know that we are going to try our best to do just that. The only bad thing is that we're competing against my boyfriend's team. But the other Warblers are counting on me, so I can't let that bother me," he said, smiling a little. Yes, the Warblers would have to face New Directions at the competition, but Blaine wasn't worried. He was never huge on competition, he would even be okay with Kurt and New Directions winning, but he knew Wes and David wanted to win. The boys were his best friends and like brothers to him and he didn't want to let them down.
"I...I don't know...I don't have a boyfriend or anyone like that. My mom maybe but she died when I was little...Some other things too but I still can't write even when I think of them...I don't know...I'm an artist with no muse."
He frowned a little at that. It was sad to think that she didn't have anyone like that. He hadn't really had anyone until he came to Dalton and met Wes and David and the Warblers. And then Kurt had come around and he had taken his hand and since then, his world had turned upside down and had never been the same. He now didn't want to picture his life without Kurt. Even before they had gotten together, Kurt had quickly become his best friend. No one had ever understood him and accepted him like Kurt had. It was sad that Rylee didn't have anyone like that. "I have an idea," he said, standing up and throwing away his trash. "Come on, I'll show you what usually cheers me up," he said, offering his hand for her to take.

Rylee smiled and nodded. "I understand. What team is your boyfriend on?" she asked. There weren't too many Glee clubs in Lima and it's surrounding areas. Only a handful. She thought that maybe she'd heard of it. Though she doubted they were a good match for the Warblers. There were only two or three she thought stood up to them, The Larks being one of them though they had never went head to head.
"I have an idea. Come on, I'll show you what usually cheers me up."
Rylee watched him stand and closed her notebook. At this point she was open to any idea. She hated being in this rut. She stood and tossed her empty cup in the trash and took his hand. If the lead singer of the Warblers had an idea that could help her, who was she to argue? "Alrighty! Lead the way!" she said with a bright smile.

"I understand. What team is your boyfriend on?"
Blaine smiled at the thought of Kurt. He loved talking about him. He was amazing and everyone should know about it. He also knew that everyone didn't want to hear about him gushing over Kurt either. Wes and David told him it could be kind of gross. "He's on the New Directions. They're from McKinley in Lima. They're really good. They actually went to Nationals this year and came in 12th place," he said, grinning. He knew how excited Kurt had been to get to go to New York. The two of them had actually talked about going there with Rachel after high school for college.
"Alrighty! Lead the way!"
He grinned as he picked up his bag and led her by the other hand through the mall. He hoped that he didn't mind him leading her by the hand like this. He hadn't really thought about it, just like that day on the staircase where he had taken Kurt's hand and led him to that Warblers performance. He brought her up to a piano in the mall and gestured to it. "I don't know how you are about singing in public, but singing always makes me feel better. You can just let out all of your emotions and just breathe again before putting them back together and having them make a little more sense," he said, taking a seat on the piano bench and setting down his bag. "So, do you have anything in mind?"

"He's on the New Directions. They're from McKinley in Lima. They're really good. They actually went to Nationals this year and came in 12th place."
Rylee nodded "Yeah! I've heard of them. I've even seen them perform once. They were pretty good." she sid with a smile "You guys will definitely need to be at your best." She was not exaggerating either. New Directions may not have been an acapella group, but they were still good, and had a lot of heart.
Rylee allowed him o lead her, not even noticing that it was by the hand. She was used to being led. She much preferred following to leading anyway. She wasn't sure of where Blane was taking her though, until she found herself at a piano. She did't even know the mall HAD a piano.
"I don't know how you are about singing in public, but singing always makes me feel better. You can just let out all of your emotions and just breathe again before putting them back together and having them make a little more sense. "So, do you have anything in mind?"
Rylee bit her lip as she thought. She really had no idea what song she wanted to sing at all. Maybe oneof her guilty pleasures. "Maybe...Katy Perry?" she asked.

"Yeah! I've heard of them. I've even seen them perform once. They were pretty good. You guys will definitely need to be at your best."
Blaine smiled, thinking of his boyfriend. He was great when had been with the Warblers, but he was even better with New Directions. They were his family, and with them he could really shine and be himself. "I agree. They don't practice as much as we do, but they have something special about them that makes them stand out," he said, thinking of the various costumes and numbers they had done that Kurt had told him about. Lady Gaga, Kiss, zombies, they had done some way impressive numbers. "But we do have the blazers. Everyone loves the blazers," he said, jokingly.
"Maybe...Katy Perry?"
He blinked in surprise at Rylee. Was she kidding? Did she know him at all? Oh wait. She didn't. "Seriously? She's like one of my favorite artists! 'Teenage Dream' is totally Kurt and I's song! I may have sang it to him the first time I met him," he said, grinning thinking of the memory. "So, what's your favorite Katy Perry song?" he said excitedly. This was going to be amazing. You could never go wrong with Katy Perry.

"I agree. They don't practice as much as we do, but they have something special about them that makes them stand out. But we do have the blazers. Everyone loves the blazers."
Rylee couldn't help but laugh " I agree. The blazers are awesome."[/i] she said. The Warblers really had a signeture look going with the blazers. She couldn't really imagine them any other way. New Directions didn't really have a signature look, but that allowed them to be more flexible with the songs and costumes "But yeah they do have something special..."
Rylee noticed his face light up at the mention of Katy Perry. Apparently her guilty pleasure had been right on the money for him.
"Seriously? She's like one of my favorite artists! 'Teenage Dream' is totally Kurt and I's song! I may have sang it to him the first time I met him. So, what's your favorite Katy Perry song?"
Rylee laughed. "Katy Perry is awesome. Um...favorite song..." She mentally went through her Katy Perry songs on her ipod until she found one she really loved. "Hot n' Cold."

"I agree. The blazers are awesome. But yeah they do have something special..."
Blaine laughed a little. See, other people thought the blazers were awesome. It wasn't just the Warblers and Dalton students that thought so. He would have to tell Kurt this later. His boyfriend just did not appreciate the wonders of the blazer. He couldn't blame him really. Kurt looked much better in his designer clothes and just didn't look like himself when he was wearing the blazer.
"Katy Perry is awesome. Um...favorite song...Hot n' Cold."
He grinned back at the girl. "Now you're speaking my language," he said, turning to the piano. He set his hands down on the piano keys and began to play, singing along.
"You change your mind Like a girl changes clothes Yeah you, PMS Like a bitch I would know
And you over think Always speak Cryptically
I should know That you're no good for me"
He looked over to her, inviting her to sing along. Some passerby's were beginning to give them strange looks, but others looked amused. Blaine wasn't really paying them any attention though. He just wanted to song and help someone tyr to get over their writer's block.

"Now you're speaking my language."
The moment he started playing the piano, Rylee couldn't help but feel a bit better. She hadn't sang with someone in forever. Way too long. She made a mental note to never do that again as she made a note that Blaine probably knew all the Katie Perry songs on Piano by heart.
"And you over think Always speak Cryptically
I should know That you're no good for me"
She noticed the weird looks they were getting as Blaine sang, and at first thought that it had been a bad idea. But then the music took hold of her, and she suddenly couldn't have cared less. She joined, drumming a beat on the top of the piano.
"Cause you're hot then you're cold You're yes then you're no You're in then you're out You're up when it's down
You're wrong when it's right It's black then it's white We fight we break up We kiss we make up..."
She smiled at Blaine as the people around started to sway as they watched. She had to admit, being in front of a crowd again felt good.

Blaine grinned at Rylee when she started singing along with him. Performing always put him in a better mood, he just hoped it would affect the Lark the same way. He joined her in singing the chorus, allowing their voices to be joined together.
Cause you're hot then you're cold You're yes then you're no You're in then you're out You're up then you're down
You're wrong when it's right It's black and it's white We fight, we break up We kiss, we make up
(you) You don't really want to stay, no (but you) But you don't really want to go-o You're hot then you're cold You're yes then you're no You're in then you're out You're up then you're down
He smiled, seeing her get into the music, even with the small crowd that had formed around them. Blaine nodded at her to take the next verse as he continued to play.
